The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Endocrinologist. UMMG Staff Physician will provide high quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases . The incumbent conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services .

Essential Job Functions:

• Provide outpatient care to patients primarily at UHealth - Main campus and satellite practices.

• Provide inpatient care to patient s at UHealth - Tower a nd Jackson Memorial Hospital.

• Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.

• Oversees mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.

Qualifications:

• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency

• Valid American Board Certification in Endocrinology (or board eligible)

• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. 

• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements 

• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care 

• Current BLS certification required . ACLS (if applicable). 

• Valid DEA licensure
