Make a meaningful impact as an Autism Support Interventionist (ASI) or Emotional Support Interventionist (ESI) for the 2026–2027 school year! Serve children and adolescents who benefit from specialized educational and behavioral supports in well-structured school environments in Carbon and Lehigh Counties. Assignments begin August 10, 2026, with full school hours resuming in late August. These contract roles follow the academic calendar, offering hands-on experience working with expert educators and therapists.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Social Behavior, Human Services or a related field preferred; Associate’s degree considered with at least one year of related experience (three preferred)
• Direct work with children/adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional/behavioral disabilities, ABA, mental health, crisis intervention, or special education is highly valued
• Strong ability to implement behavioral and de-escalation strategies while maintaining a professional, reliable, and collaborative approach
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication
• Comfortable responding calmly to challenging behaviors in a supportive setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one or small-group instructional and behavioral support under supervision of teaching staff and behavior specialists
• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), collect behavioral and academic data, and assist with classroom routines
• Use evidence-based autism and emotional support strategies, including structured routines, PECS, AAC, de-escalation, and trauma-informed practices
• Support with personal care tasks as needed
• Foster a safe, therapeutic atmosphere for student growth and achievement
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Role Details:

• In-person interviews are required; flexibility in site assignment based on district needs
• Weekly schedule of 32.5–35 hours during school days, with responsibilities following the academic calendar
