Location: Minneapolis, MN Pay Rate: $19.00$21.00/hour Employment Type: 4-Month W2 Contract Schedule: Minimum 25 hours per week

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to provide temporary support to the purchasing team during a planned four-month leave. This position plays a key role in maintaining day-to-day purchasing operations by supporting purchasing card reconciliations, invoice processing, purchase orders, and resolving transaction exceptions.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in purchasing, procurement, accounts payable, or financial administration who enjoy working in a collaborative, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile purchasing card (P-Card) transactions and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Review, research, and resolve invoice match exceptions and payment discrepancies.
• Process purchase orders and support daily procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Partner with internal departments to resolve purchasing and invoice-related issues.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the purchasing team as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, accounts payable, or related administrative functions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage financial transactions and data.
• Experience working with ERP or financial management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including reconciling and analyzing reports.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using PeopleSoft Financials or PeopleSoft Purchasing modules.
• Previous experience in higher education, healthcare, or a large organizational environment.
