Senior Mammographer

HHS Hunterdon Healthcare System Inc. , 121 Route 31 , Flemington , NJ Full-time M-F 8am to 4:30 pm , Day shift Hiring Range: $44.75 - $55.94 Hourly Position Summary The Senior Mammographer performs all diagnostic mammography examinations that create the images needed for diagnosis. The Senior Mammographer also assists the physician with stereotactic breast biopsies and needle localization procedures. The Senior Mammographer integrates scientific knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information. Primary Position Responsibilities Performs diagnostic and interventional mammography including positioning, machine set-up, radiation exposure technique, image acquisition and post-processing. Follow all National Patient Safety Goals. Provide recordkeeping of patient history and symptoms. Review orders, explain procedure, answer questions and provide a high level of patient satisfaction. Maintains cleanliness of department and assures adequate supply inventory. Work Contact Group (Internal/External) Physicians, hospital staff, patients, family Reporting Relationships Reports to: Student Technologists Qualifications Required: High school degree/equivalent 1-2 years experience as Mammographer.
