Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant | Portsmouth, VA

In this role, you will develop and implement standards of care and guidelines to assist breastfeeding mothers across various departments, including Obstetrics, Childbirth Education, and Pediatric care. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient education and support breastfeeding initiatives, ensuring optimal health outcomes for mothers and infants.

• Shift: Monday - Friday day shift hours for 40 hours/week
• Employment Type: Contract (W-2)

Required Skills:

• Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse license
• Certification as a Lactation Consultant from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE)
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and PALS and Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience within the last two years
• Degree/Education: Associate degree accepted, but must be a graduate from an accredited college with ACEN or CCNE

This role offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $45.00, with a blended rate of $56.80 including paid federal holidays, along with comprehensive benefits such as weekly pay via direct deposit, medical, dental, vision, supplemental benefits, 401(k) with match, and a robust referral bonus program.
