Hear Again America Hearing Instrument SpecialistHear Again America – Urbandale, part of a nationwide network of over 40 Hear Again America clinic locations, is seeking a licensed Hearing Instrument Specialist to join their Urbandale, IA clinic. Position overview: The Hearing Instrument Specialist will focus on delivering personalized hearing aid solutions through patient consultations, device selection, fittings, and follow-up care. This role emphasizes building long-term patient relationships, guiding patients through their hearing healthcare journey, and ensuring successful outcomes with hearing technology. In addition to patient care, the position includes participation in local community outreach and relationship-building efforts to support hearing health education and clinic visibility. The ideal candidate enjoys working directly with patients, is confident discussing hearing aid options and value, and takes pride in helping patients hear better in their everyday lives.Key responsibilities include conducting hearing evaluations and in-office consultations for adult patients, recommending hearing aid solutions aligned with patient goals, lifestyle, and communication needs, fitting, programming, verifying, and adjusting hearing aids using best-practice protocols, providing counseling, troubleshooting, and ongoing follow-up care to support long-term outcomes, maintaining accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation, collaborating with clinic leadership and team members to support continuity of care, participating in local community outreach efforts, including educational events, screenings, and referral relationship-building, representing the clinic professionally at community events to promote hearing health awareness, and supporting the training and mentorship of Hearing Aid Specialists, including guidance toward certification, as the team grows.Requirements include an active Iowa Hearing Instrument Specialist license, experience with hearing aid consultations, fittings, and follow-up care, strong patient communication and relationship-building skills, an ethical, patient-centered approach to hearing care, and comfort working independently while collaborating with leadership.Compensation & benefits include salary plus bonus/commission potential: $85,000–$105,000+, healthcare stipend, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, professional development support, and employee discounts.
