Job Description CEC Entertainment, global leader in family entertainment and operator of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza restaurants, is seeking a Tech in Development (TID) for a restaurant location. The role focuses on all aspects of the gameroom and supports the District Technician with mechanical and technical needs. Compensation Commission potential (Exempt): $0.50–$10.00 per Membership, $0.15–$3.00 per Fun Pass. (Non‑Exempt): $2.00–$8.00 per Membership, $0.60–$2.40 per Fun Pass. Paid bi‑weekly (unless state law requires otherwise). Responsibilities Responsible for the gameroom area of impact AOI. Troubleshoot games, perform preventive maintenance of games, equipment, and show robotics. Train the Assistant Gameroom Technician and Team 2 Cast Members on basic gameroom responsibilities. Perform other duties and assist co‑workers as directed. Qualifications Prior experience in a technical capacity, a technical certification, or current enrollment in a technical program; prior experience as a CEC Assistant Gameroom Technician is a plus. Mechanical and electrical aptitude required. Demonstrated desire to learn and grow. Strong customer service orientation. Sense of urgency and composure. Excellent decision‑making abilities. Time and priority management skills. Resourcefulness. Comfortable with Microsoft Suite applications. For internal candidates, CEC Ladders must be completed and signed off. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18+ years of age. Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week, with possibility of overtime and shift flexibility, including weekends. High school diploma or GED. Physical Demands Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, reach, and carry, lift, pull, and push between 0–50 lbs. During scheduled shift. Must use a computer with repetitive movement of both hands. Work environment includes flashing and flickering lights, moving mechanical parts, and loud noises.
