Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Role Overview The Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies. They make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to care providers to ensure optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with their practice level. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor for side effects, and evaluate effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately. Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, identifying issues and resources. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty is preferred. Current BLS certification and RN license in the state of employment or a compact license are required.
