Technical Sales Representative

We’re looking for a high-energy, self-directed Technical Sales Representative in North East Ohio to drive territory growth within the hazardous materials containment and industrial safety solutions. This field-based role focuses on prospecting, consultative selling, technical customer engagement, and long-term relationship development with manufacturing facilities, industrial companies, EHS teams, engineers, operations leaders, and purchasing professionals.

Technical Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Prospect and develop new customers within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, environmental, and regulated markets
• Execute a territory sales strategy to increase revenue and expand market share
• Identify customer challenges related to hazardous material storage, spill prevention, safety, and compliance
• Conduct onsite customer visits to evaluate needs and recommend appropriate solutionsBuild relationships with EHS managers, plant managers, engineers, operations leaders, and purchasing professionals
• Sell consultative, engineered solutions rather than transactional products
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close

Technical Sales Representative Qualifications:

• Technical sales or outside sales experience selling industrial products, engineered solutions, safety products, environmental solutions, or capital equipment
• Experience selling into manufacturing, chemical, industrial, or regulated environments preferred
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage a sales territory
• Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer needs and provide solutions
• Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms
• Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, or engineered product applications is preferred
