Our experienced, multi-disciplinary team collaborates closely to help thousands of people successfully achieve their health goals through a range of medically supervised treatment plans. The Diabetes Educator I is a Registered Dietitian (RD) that is part of an interdisciplinary team and works closely with physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioner, registered nurses, and health educator. This critical role requires effective communication, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and diabetes education to weight management and bariatric surgery patients in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include: Initiate, monitor, and re-evaluate nutritional strategies for surgical and non-surgical weight loss patients and patients with diabetes. Facilitate pre-bariatric surgery diet education classes. Co-host monthly bariatric support groups (scheduled in the evening).
