Medical Assistant – Healthcare Center

Location: Tavares, FL 32778
Contract: 11 Weeks
Shift: Day | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $20–$24/hr

• Minimum 1 year Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship)

• Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred

• Phlebotomy/Venipuncture experience required

• EMR experience required

• Front-office and back-office experience required

• EKG experience required

• POC testing experience required

• Scheduling and patient rooming experience required

• Strong computer and communication skills

• BLS or CPR required; may start pending approval

• DOT certification required

• Greet and room patients and prepare them for provider visits.

• Take and document vital signs.

• Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture.

• Administer vaccines as directed.

• Perform EKGs and POC testing.

• Schedule appointments and answer phone calls.

• Provide front-office and back-office support.

• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.

• Provide clinical support to healthcare providers.

• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

• Communicate effectively with patients and staff.

• Support health education and outreach activities.

• Patient population: Ages 2+

• Onsite dispensing: Yes

• Occupational Health: Yes

• Workers' Compensation: Yes

• Women's Health experience: May be required for temporary/locum coverage

• Staffing: 2 Providers, 2 MAs, 1 Behavioral Health Provider
