Doctor of Medicine | Obstetrics and Gynecology Location: Boston, MA Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Contract Duration: 6 Months Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking two Board‑Certified OB/GYN Physicians for a locum tenens assignment providing in‑house inpatient Labor & Delivery coverage . This position is not clinic‑based and not on‑call —physicians provide scheduled, in‑house coverage only . Night shift availability is required. All candidates must be willing and able to work nights. Schedule Details: Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per week Coverage includes both day and night L&D shifts Typical shift structure: Weekdays: Days: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Nights: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM Fridays: Nights end at 7:00 AM Weekends: Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00/8:00 AM This is a high‑volume Labor & Delivery service with approximately 1,200 deliveries annually and an average daily census of 20 patients . Clinical Responsibilities Include: Labor & Delivery coverage Postpartum care Emergent GYN OR cases Emergency Department consults Physicians work alongside PAs and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) who provide 24/7 unit coverage. PAs assist with admissions, H&Ps, orders, ED consults, and first assist in cesarean sections and GYN OR cases. CNMs manage and admit their own patients.
