What You’ll Do

• Evaluate and manage adult/geriatric patients post-ops in the hospital setting
• Handle thoracic surgical procedures including chest tube, Blake drain, and pigtail management, along with ABGs, NGTs, and G/J feeding tubes
• Collaborate with the surgical team for patient care and treatment planning
• See approximately 15–25 patients per shift, primarily on the floor, step-down, or ICU
• Support emergency response as a first responder when necessary
• Cover for patient transfers from other hospitals, conducting H&Ps and initial assessments
• Work independently with support from a fellow, especially during busy nights

What You Need

Required:

• NCCPA Board Certification
• ACLS & BLS certifications
• DEA license
• At least 1 year of experience in thoracic or surgical patient care

Preferred:

• Experience with thoracic procedures and ICU patient management
• Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
