Position Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients from diverse backgrounds, analyzing their needs using state-of-the-art evaluation tools and keen observational skills.
- Create individualized treatment strategies that cater to both immediate requirements and longer-term communication or swallowing complexities.
- Deliver focused, one-on-one speech therapy sessions that emphasize communication, language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Team up with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop an inclusive and integrated care approach for each patient.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families, empowering them to support progress beyond clinical visits.
- Participate in occasional inpatient assessments and therapeutic interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout each patient's journey.
- Keep precise and prompt documentation, adhering to both regulatory and institutional standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development through courses and interactions with peers to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you haven't achieved ASHA certification yet.
Licenses and Certifications
- Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
