Ignite Communication for All Ages in the Heart of North Carolina – Become a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that not only engages your skills but also empowers every individual you meet to find their voice. As a Speech Language Pathologist in Winston-Salem, your role transcends traditional therapy; it is about unlocking the beauty of communication in all its forms. From lively toddlers discovering their first syllables to wise seniors rediscovering their independence, your impact will resonate deeply within this rich community.
This position offers a rare chance to work with a diverse population in a harmonious mix of outpatient sessions and occasional inpatient support. Whether your interests lie in fostering childhood language skills, navigating adult neurogenic challenges, or enhancing geriatric cognitive abilities, your passion will be met with both fulfillment and variety.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using both standardized assessments and observational methods.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that cater to immediate needs while fostering long-term growth in communication, cognition, or swallowing abilities.
Deliver targeted speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, caregivers, and physicians to create a cohesive approach to care.
Provide education to patients and their families to support continued progress outside the therapy room.
Participate in inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless transition throughout each patient's care continuum.
Maintain up-to-date and precise documentation in compliance with appropriate regulations and standards.
Engage in ongoing professional development and peer learning to stay at the forefront of your field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a nationally accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet accredited by ASHA.
Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first month of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based treatment strategies, accommodating all ages with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired communication disorders.
Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical judgment paired with excellent problem-solving skills.
Proficient in electronic medical records management and documentation protocols.
Competitive salary reflective of experience.
Flexible scheduling options to promote work-life harmony and accommodate diverse caseloads.
Potential for specialization in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offerings.
Support for ongoing education and professional advancement.
A collaborative, team-oriented environment that prioritizes quality care and lifelong education.
In this role, you'll transcend the routine of speech therapy. You'll immerse yourself in a mission that champion the rebuilding of voices, enhancing communication, and igniting joy through fundamental human interactions: the ability to understand and connect.
Here, you'll find camaraderie among supportive clinicians who treat one another as family in a collaborative, growth-focused environment. Each patient you see will have a unique narrative; you'll have the privilege of helping to write the next chapters of their stories.

You may be someone with a pediatric focus eager to expand into adult practice — or perhaps a neuro-focused clinician ready to dive into early intervention. Whichever path you are on, if your heart is set on serving others and your skills shine brightly, we want to welcome you to our team.
If you view speech as more than a sequence of sounds, and see therapy as a holistic experience — if you believe in fostering trust and eliciting laughter as integral parts of language learning, then your next professional chapter could begin here.
Join us in a welcoming community committed to celebrating every voice and the courage it takes to start anew. Apply today to be a vital part of our team and aid others in discovering their own voices.
