Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft individualized treatment strategies addressing both immediate goals and broader communication, cognitive, and swallowing necessities.
• Facilitate one-on-one speech therapy sessions centered on communication, language development, fluency, voice, and safe swallowing.
• Engage in collaboration with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and their families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech evaluations and interventions, ensuring a continuous care experience.
• Maintain meticulous documentation as per state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in speech pathology through professional development and collaborative engagements.

Required Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.

Licensure and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be completed within 30 days of employment.
