Weekends are when you make things happen. In this part-time role, you’ll run 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am) on Saturdays and Sundays, keeping our injection molding lines producing safe, high‑quality packaging.

A Day in the Life

When your shift begins, you’ll review performance notes with the previous operator, confirm materials and safety checks, and bring your press online. Throughout the day, you’ll monitor cycle times and product quality, adjust settings, and keep the work cell organized and safe. When product changeovers arise, you’ll execute start-ups, perform routine adjustments, and document everything you do—because quality and traceability matter.

What You’ll DoProduction & Equipment Operation

• Operate, monitor, and adjust assigned production equipment to meet production goals and quality standards
• Perform machine changeovers, start-ups, and basic troubleshooting
• Review machine performance and operating conditions with the previous shift
• Ensure production equipment is running efficiently and producing quality products
• Perform routine equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance activities
• Report equipment concerns, mechanical issues, or maintenance needs promptly

Quality Assurance

• Conduct quality inspections and checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Document machine adjustments, process changes, and quality issues
• Identify and address product defects and production concerns
• Follow all quality procedures and work instructions

Material Handling & Housekeeping

• Monitor and maintain required levels of raw materials
• Keep assigned equipment and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris
• Follow all housekeeping standards and plant cleanliness requirements

Safety

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Maintain a safe work environment and report safety concerns immediately
• Participate in safety initiatives and training programs

Additional Responsibilities

• Follow plant job specifications and task requirements
• Support overtime, plant shutdowns, and special projects as needed
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities

• Monitor and verify activities to ensure products meet food safety and quality requirements
• Follow all company food safety, GMP, and quality assurance procedures
• Ensure product contact surfaces are restored to sanitary conditions following maintenance or production activities
• Accurately complete all required food safety and quality documentation
• Immediately report any food safety, quality, or process concerns to supervision

Responsible for food safety, food quality, and site safety.

What You Bring

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1–2 years of manufacturing, machine operation, or production experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow written instructions, procedures, and production specifications

Preferred Experience

• Plastics manufacturing experience
• Packaging industry experience
• Experience performing machine set-ups and changeovers
• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, twist, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Use hands for handling equipment, tools, and materials
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule
• Close vision required for inspections and quality checks

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment with:

• Production machinery and moving equipment
• Moderate to high noise levels (hearing protection required)
• Temperature variations common to manufacturing facilities
• Exposure to plastics manufacturing processes
