The Mastercard office in Budapest is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Marketing Specialist to support the execution of marketing initiatives across the country. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and results-driven professional with a strong background in media planning and project management, who thrives in a dynamic team environment, is eager to grow, and brings fresh ideas to continuously improve marketing impact. Job Title: Senior Specialist, Area Marketing (Fixed Term Contract - Maternity cover) Key responsibilities:
• Execute local marketing activities and campaigns across HU in line with business objectives and global priorities
• Support the planning and implementation of integrated 360° campaigns with a strong focus on media planning and coordination
• Independently lead assigned marketing projects end-to-end, ensuring timely, on-budget and high-quality delivery
• Lead day-to-day project management of marketing initiatives, ensuring smooth delivery across channels and stakeholders
• Coordinate with media, creative, and production agencies, providing clear direction, feedback, and ensuring timely execution
• Monitor campaign performance, prepare regular reports, and recommend optimizations based on data and insights
• Manage assigned marketing budgets, track spending, and ensure alignment with financial processes and forecasts
• Support the development of marketing materials and presentations, ensuring consistency and high quality
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver effective marketing programs and activations
• Proactively bring new ideas and solutions to enhance campaign performance and ways of working About the role:
• Execute marketing plans and activities in the Hungary in alignment with overall marketing and business strategy
• Support media planning, including channel selection, budget allocation, and performance tracking
• Lead and coordinate end-to-end delivery of complex marketing projects, from concept through execution to post-campaign evaluation
• Take ownership of selected key initiatives (e.g. partnerships, campaigns, or special projects), ensuring strategic alignment, strong execution, and measurable impact
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, and business teams to ensure integrated and effective campaign delivery
• Oversee campaign development and execution, including messaging, assets, and communication flows across channels
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and smooth project delivery
• Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, bringing new ideas, formats, and approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness and customer engagement All About You:
We’re looking for someone who is very well organized, collaborative, and passionate about delivering high-quality marketing campaigns and projects, with 2-3 years of experience in related fields.
Ideally you:
• Bring solid project management skills and are comfortable coordinating complex initiatives
• Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
• Have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
• Are proactive, curious, and eager to learn and grow within the role
• Have a data-driven mindset and can translate insights into actionable recommendations
• Are experienced in working with agencies and external partners
• Are confident in presenting ideas, results and communicating with senior stakeholders
• Are not afraid to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas and approaches
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborating with diverse teams
• Are fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
