Facilities Maintenance Manager

Position Summary The Facilities Maintenance Manager role is to coordinate and oversee the safe, secure, and environmentally‑sound operations and maintenance of the entire North Hollywood, CA facility and manufacturing equipment. The purpose is to preserve operations in a cost‑effective manner and to implement preventive maintenance for long‑term success. The Manager will direct the maintenance team, determine workload, delegate assignments, provide training, monitor performance, and review work for quality, accuracy, and completeness. Responsibilities Supervise, train and manage maintenance team on a day‑to‑day basis. Manage various facility projects and maintenance vendors for a manufacturing facility that requires a high level of attention and cleanliness. Specify and purchase all needed mechanical parts required for repairs and modifications. Coordinate and act as liaison between contractor(s) and Parker. Review and/or inspect work for quality, accuracy, and completeness. Partner with EH&S to establish a preventative maintenance program throughout the facility. Establish, maintain, and enforce mechanical preventative maintenance programs. Plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives. Manage and lead preventative maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to core activities. Direct and plan essential central services such as maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and other items as required. Ensure the building meets health and safety requirements. Plan best allocation and utilization of space and resources for current premises. Confirm that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and follow up on any deficiencies. Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise. Calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money. Use performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of Parker Lean System practices. Perform other duties as assigned or requested. Travel and/or driving requirements: 5‑10%. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree is required for this role. Experience 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Sound administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting and anticipating critical deadlines. Working experience with electrical systems. Customer focused in addressing safety issues. Experience in lean, continuous improvement activities. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.). Problem‑solving, flexibility and prioritization skills; ability to think outside the box and apply creative solutions to ongoing maintenance problems. Ability to work independently and use judgment to resolve routine and non‑routine issues. Ability to work in a team‑based environment with other levels of the organization. Office / Sedentary Requirements Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), hear the telephone, enter data on a computer, and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds. Manufacturing / Non‑Sedentary Requirements Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33%‑66% of the time. Competitive Compensation Pay Range: $100,300 to $166,900 annually Participation in Annual Incentive Program Benefit & Retirement Plans Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost. 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of pay.
