About the Role:

Owen Motor Group Inc is looking for a driven and experienced Automotive General Sales Manager to lead our sales team in Marshall, IL. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of new and used vehicle sales operations to meet and exceed monthly targets
• Recruit, train, coach, and manage a high-performing automotive sales team
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies, pricing, and merchandising plans
• Monitor dealership sales metrics, gross profit, and CSI scores to drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to maximize per-vehicle revenue
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and referrals
• Manage vehicle inventory levels, lot organization, and turn rates
• Work closely with the dealer principal and other department managers to align dealership goals

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or similar automotive leadership role
• Strong knowledge of new and used vehicle sales processes and dealership operations
• Track record of achieving and exceeding sales volume and gross profit objectives
• Experience with desking deals, managing trade-in valuations, purchasing used vehicles and working with F&I
• Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) such as CDK, DealerTrack, or similar
• Proficiency with customer retention management systems (CRM) such as DriveCentric, VinSolutions, or similar
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to delivering an outstanding customer experience
