Catering Manager

Loveski is looking for a motivated, entrepreneurial Catering & Events Sales Manager to help grow our catering and events business across San Francisco and the Bay Area.

This is a hands-on sales and relationship-building role for someone who loves food, hospitality, and people —and knows how to turn a conversation into a new client, a new client into a repeat customer, and a great event into a long-term relationship.

You'll have the opportunity to build Loveski's catering business from the ground up: developing new accounts, cultivating relationships with corporate and community partners, managing client relationships, and helping create memorable catering experiences from the first inquiry through post-event follow-up.

This position starts at approximately 15–20 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow as catering revenue grows

What You'll Do

Drive New Business

• Own Loveski's catering sales pipeline from initial outreach through booking and follow-up
• Identify and develop new corporate, hospitality, residential, nonprofit, school, and community accounts
• Build relationships with office managers, executive assistants, event planners, hotels, concierges, venues, and local businesses
• Conduct regular in-person sales visits and networking throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area
• Respond to catering inquiries promptly and professionally, generally within one business day
• Develop proposals, quotes, and customized catering recommendations based on client needs
• Manage and optimize Loveski's presence on ezCater, DoorDash Catering, and other catering platforms
• Identify opportunities to turn one-time orders into recurring accounts and long-term partnerships
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and CRM

Own the Client & Event Experience

• Serve as the primary point of contact for catering clients
• Manage the client experience from inquiry and proposal through event execution and follow-up
• Coordinate event details with culinary, operations, delivery, and leadership teams
• Help clients select menus and create catering experiences that fit their needs, budget, and event
• Lead planning for larger events, recurring corporate programs, tastings, and special projects
• Anticipate client needs and proactively solve problems
• Follow up after events to gather feedback, strengthen relationships, and generate repeat business

Build Loveski's Presence in the Community

• Develop relationships with local businesses, hotels, residential buildings, venues, and community organizations
• Identify relevant networking events, business associations, and partnership opportunities
• Represent Loveski at tastings, networking events, community events, and other appropriate gatherings
• Collaborate with leadership on seasonal catering promotions, outreach campaigns, and new business opportunities

Help Build the Business

This is an entrepreneurial role with the opportunity to have a real impact on how Loveski's catering business grows.

You'll help:

• Track catering sales and new-account activity
• Maintain sales forecasts and monitor progress toward revenue goals
• Identify trends and opportunities for growth
• Improve catering sales processes, systems, and workflows
• Partner with Operations and Culinary to ensure the catering program can scale efficiently
• Share insights from clients and the marketplace to help shape future catering offerings and strategy

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is naturally outgoing, organized, resourceful, and comfortable creating relationships from scratch.

You may be a great fit if you have:

• 2+ years of experience in catering sales, hospitality sales, event planning, restaurant management, business development, or a related field
• A proven ability to build relationships and generate new business
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project-management skills
• The confidence to walk into a business, introduce yourself, and start a conversation
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• A genuine passion for food, hospitality, and creating great guest experiences
• Strong knowledge of the San Francisco/Bay Area business and hospitality landscape
• Experience with CRM, catering, or event-management platforms

Experience with tools such as Toast, ezCater, DoorDash Catering, TripleSeat, or similar platforms is a plus—but not required.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is curious, proactive, personable, and excited by the idea of building something.

Compensation & Schedule

• $35/hour plus Commission
• Eligible for quarterly performance bonuses
• Approximately 15–20 hours per week to start
• Primarily remote, with regular in-person sales visits throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area
• Flexible weekday scheduling, generally during business hours
• Occasional evenings or weekends may be required for networking events or larger catering events
• Immediate opportunity to increase hours and responsibility as the catering business grows

• Success in this role will be measured by new accounts originated, catering revenue generated, repeat business, client retention, and the development of a strong and organized sales pipeline.
