The Machine Maintenance Mechanic performs routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on production and manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of aerospace assets. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, the ability to interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints, and a consistent focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The position suits a hands-on maintenance professional who is eager to learn, can troubleshoot complex issues, and works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain production and manufacturing equipment to support reliable operations.
• Inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform all levels of preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Diagnose basic and complex equipment malfunctions and complete repairs or adjustments efficiently and accurately.
• Interpret and follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings, and technical documents to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform all work in accordance with established standards, safety procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Train other team members in multiple areas and on a variety of maintenance skills to support cross-functional capability.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to identify, schedule, and plan repairs, preventive maintenance activities, and project work.
• Oversee and manage work performed to ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
• Work under limited oversight while maintaining high standards of workmanship and accountability.
• Source and procure parts required for repair and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage equipment history.
• Troubleshoot and service equipment such as CNC machines, hydraulic presses, vacuum furnaces, X-ray systems, lasers, and hot forming machines, as applicable.
• Apply knowledge of hydraulics, PLCs, electrical systems, and pneumatics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Use shop math and precision measuring equipment to verify tolerances and ensure equipment is adjusted and operating correctly.

Essential Skills

• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, including preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting one or more of the following: CNC equipment, hydraulic presses, vacuum furnaces, X-ray systems, lasers, hot forming machines.
• Experience working with hydraulics, PLCs, electrical systems, and pneumatics in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, sketches, schedules, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Proficiency with CMMS software for tracking maintenance activities and equipment history.
• Knowledge of shop math and the use of precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to work under limited supervision while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills for diagnosing equipment issues.
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferred experience operating or working with forklifts and moving large equipment safely.
• General knowledge of codes and regulations related to equipment and facilities.
• Experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is beneficial.
• Ability to train others in multiple maintenance areas and skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate maintenance activities and projects.
• Comfort working with advanced technologies such as lasers, vacuum furnaces, and CNC systems.

Work Environment

You will work alongside passionate professionals with deep engineering expertise who focus on enabling engineering breakthroughs and addressing complex engineering challenges. The facility operates with sophisticated equipment such as CNC machines, hydraulic presses, vacuum furnaces, X-ray systems, lasers, and hot forming machines, supported by PLC-controlled and other automated systems. Maintenance activities rely on CMMS software and precision measuring tools in a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative problem-solving. The role typically follows a swing shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. (5×8s), with flexibility for a Monday–Thursday schedule from 2:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. (4×10s). Opportunities may also exist for day shift, depending on operational needs. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64792.00 - $92976.00/yr.

You are eligible for Parker's benefit plans day one of hire. Generally, these plans provide comprehensive coverage for medical, dental, prescription drugs, vision, voluntary optional life and personal accident insurance with competitive premium cost. A voluntary elected Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to allow for pre-tax savings via your individual contributions, a Company-provided basic life insurance policy of one and a half times your annual salary, and short- and long-term disability programs are provided at no cost to you. Retirement Planning Savings Plan - You will be eligible for this qualified 401(k) plan on your date of hire. You may elect to contribute up to 75 percent of your pay (in whole percentages) on a pre-tax, Roth or after-tax basis. The Company matches your pre-tax or Roth contributions at 100 percent of the first 5 percent of pay you defer. You may begin contributing the first of the month following your date of hire. If you do not enroll sooner, you will be automatically enrolled at 5% pre-tax, 30 days after your date of hire. During enrollment, you will choose the investment funds for both your contributions and the Company matching contributions. If you do not make an election, both your contributions and the company matching contributions will be invested in a Target Retirement Date Fund suitable to your age.
