Direct Support Professional (Companion Services)

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and enthusiastic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Companion Services to adults with developmental disabilities in the community.

This position focuses on building positive relationships, encouraging independence, and supporting clients as they participate in recreational, educational, and community-based activities. Current Schedule

• Part-time
• Wednesdays & Fridays
• 10:00 AM–2:00 PM or 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
• Approximately 8 hours per week
• Additional opportunities may become available as SagePoint continues to grow.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-on-one companion services in community settings.
• Encourage independence while supporting each client's individual goals.
• Assist clients with participating in recreational, educational, volunteer, and community activities.
• Foster meaningful social interaction and positive community engagement.
• Provide safe transportation to and from approved community outings.
• Maintain professional, respectful, and person-centered interactions at all times.
• Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and care team members.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Valid Florida driver's license with reliable transportation and current auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a Florida Level II Background Screening.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Dependable, punctual, and compassionate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
