A well-established manufacturing company just west of Schenectady is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of the entire AR process while working in a stable company that values independence, teamwork, and long-term growth.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

Pay: $25.00-$34.00/hour (additional flexibility for highly experienced candidates)

What You'll Do

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing, payment posting, reconciliations, collections, and credit memos
• Conduct credit reviews and support customer credit decisions
• Follow up on outstanding balances through phone calls and email while maintaining positive customer relationships
• Work with customers ranging from small businesses to national accounts and government entities
• Partner with internal departments to resolve billing questions and support order processing
• Assist with month-end reconciliations and reporting
• Maintain accurate customer account records within the company's ERP system
• Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and efficiency

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable experience
• Experience managing a full-cycle AR process
• Strong collections experience and confidence communicating with customers regarding past-due balances
• Experience with ERP or accounting software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Experience supporting a variety of customer types, including commercial and government accounts
• Experience with customer payment portals or third-party invoicing systems
