Details Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center Emergency Department with over 100,000 annual visits 101-bed unit with typical patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for behavioral holds Support staff includes techs in cardiac monitoring and internal processing, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights Uses Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care Charting completed in Cerner Overnight shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM Every other weekend scheduling required, with department needs taking priority over block scheduling No floating outside the ED, but must be flexible to work all sections within the department Requirements Active RN license (NC or Compact) Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS prior to start date ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire Minimum 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in an ER setting Experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000 visits) preferred Strong teamwork orientation with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback No employment gaps of 90 days within the past 12 months Additional Information Deliver patient-centered care using AIDET principles, maintaining respectful communication and updated patient boards throughout each visit Work within a collaborative, welcoming team known for strong camaraderie Serve a diverse, multicultural community representing over 120 languages Navy scrubs required as part of the dress code Unit-specific attendance policy provided on first day Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position Previous HCA experience preferred American Traveler Job ID P-758062.
