As a key member of our talent acquisition team, you will partner with operations leadership, hiring managers, driving schools, workforce agencies, and community organizations to develop recruiting strategies that attract top talent. Your ability to connect with people, assess candidates, and create an exceptional hiring experience will directly contribute to organizational success and long-term workforce stability.

What You'll Do as a Recruiter:

Talent Sourcing & Recruitment

• Identify, attract, and engage qualified candidates through various recruiting channels.
• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
• Source candidates through job boards, referrals, social media platforms, networking events, career fairs, and community outreach efforts.
• Build relationships with driving schools, workforce development organizations, colleges, and community partners.
• Promote employment opportunities and represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
• Support employer branding initiatives that enhance candidate attraction and engagement.

Candidate Screening & Selection

• Review applications and evaluate candidate qualifications.
• Conduct phone screens, interviews, and candidate assessments.
• Present qualified candidates to hiring managers and operations leaders.
• Coordinate interviews and hiring activities throughout the recruitment process.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience.
• Assist in the selection process while ensuring hiring decisions align with organizational needs.

Hiring & Onboarding Support

• Extend offers and assist candidates through the pre-employment process.
• Coordinate onboarding requirements, documentation, and orientation scheduling.
• Ensure candidates receive a positive and professional introduction to the organization.
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to facilitate a smooth transition for new hires.
• Assist with onboarding initiatives that support employee engagement and retention.

Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, employees, hiring managers, and community partners.
• Serve as a trusted resource throughout the recruitment process.
• Conduct regular follow-up with new hires to support engagement and retention efforts.
• Gather feedback from candidates and hiring managers to improve recruitment strategies and processes.
• Promote a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.

Recruitment Analytics & Workforce Planning

• Track recruiting activities, hiring metrics, and workforce trends.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within applicant tracking and recruiting systems.
• Generate recruiting reports and provide updates to leadership.
• Monitor sourcing effectiveness and recommend improvements to recruiting strategies.
• Support workforce planning initiatives by identifying future talent needs and market trends.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance hiring efficiency and candidate quality.

Collaboration & Leadership Support

• Partner closely with operations leaders, department managers, and executive leadership to achieve hiring goals.
• Participate in job fairs, networking events, and recruitment marketing initiatives.
• Support diversity, inclusion, and workforce development efforts.
• Share recruiting best practices and market insights with leadership.
• Assist with special projects and talent acquisition initiatives as assigned.
• Help strengthen the organization's talent strategy and hiring success.

Qualifications of a Recruiter:

• Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, staffing, sales, customer service, transportation, or a related field preferred.
• Experience recruiting CDL or non-CDL drivers is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, interviewing, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Ability to identify and engage qualified candidates effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple open positions and competing priorities.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve hiring objectives.
• Professional, positive, and team-focused attitude.
• Detail-oriented with strong administrative and documentation skills.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, and Microsoft Office preferred.
