Asset Management Specialist 2

Why it's a great opportunity In this essential role you will provide detailed data and analysis that is utilized for maintenance projects across the County. You will be in the field inspecting and making maintenance determinations on river levees & revetments, stormwater facilities, sidewalks, and more. This data will be tracked and determined on GIS software such as Field Maps, Survey 123, and Workforce. The updating of data and inventory will support programs such as the annual NPDES inspection and others that keep Pierce County’s maintenance programs on track. Core daily responsibilities Collect field data of various kinds related to the management of infrastructure assets. Update and maintain paper and computerized files, records, and databases; and retrieve reports, drawings, and maps. Utilize GIS software, mobile technologies and asset management software systems, computers and other technology to input and retrieve information. Make mathematical calculations, compile data, and compute quantity and estimates. Locate assets on appropriate maps or construction plans; interpret notations on maps. Inspect assets to record relevant data as assigned. Qualifications Additional education or experience may substitute equally for the recruiting requirements. One year of progressively responsible related experience required OR Two years of college or post‑high school technical training in mathematics, engineering, geography or closely related field. A valid driver’s license is required. A background check is required as a condition of employment. A resume and cover letter are required for this position.
