Job Description
Title: Law Clerk
\nDuration: 6-12 months contract.
\nLocation: Remote role but candidates should be within DMV and/or max 80 mile/minute commute from DC location.
\n \nResponsibilities/Duties:
\n• Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
\n• Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
\n• Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc.
\n• Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
\n \nRequired Skills:
\n• Education: JD Mandatory
\n• Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
\n• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
\n• Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.
\n• Requires hands-on familiarity with Client tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
\n• Must have experience: Ability to review pleadings, draft pleadings, and handle the general support needs client has to process and litigate the thousands of cases each month.
