Employment Litigation Associate
\n \nWe're supporting a firm that is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing labor and employment practice in the DMV region . The ideal candidate will have meaningful experience representing employers in employment-related disputes and advising clients on a broad range of workplace matters.
\n \nThe successful candidate will have experience handling employment litigation in state and federal courts , as well as administrative proceedings before agencies such as the EEOC . The attorney will also assist clients with day-to-day employment counseling and provide practical, business-focused advice on workplace issues.
\n \nKey Responsibilities:
\n- \n
- Defend employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings, including EEOC charges and investigations. \n
- Handle matters involving employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other workplace claims . \n
- Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout the DMV region. \n
- Advise employers on a broad range of employment and labor matters, including workplace policies, employee relations, disciplinary actions, terminations, and compliance. \n
- Handle or assist with unfair labor practice claims and other traditional labor matters . \n
- Advise clients regarding employment-related immigration matters and coordinate with immigration counsel as appropriate. \n
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, position statements, and other litigation documents. \n
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other phases of litigation and dispute resolution. \n
- Work directly with clients and collaborate with other attorneys to develop effective litigation and counseling strategies. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission in Maryland, Virginia, or the District of Columbia , or eligibility for admission. \n
- 3–5 years of labor and employment experience , with a strong emphasis on employment litigation. \n
