Medical Revenue Specialist

Overview Responsible for managing all aspects of patient billing, account reconciliation, and insurance claims processing. Ensures that Practice Fusion and Practice Suite are aligned with accurate billing records and patient ledgers. Oversees aging reports, patient statements, and billing‑related inquiries. While Spravato‑related billing tasks are shared with the Spravato Care Coordinator, the Medical Billing Specialist handles all other billing operations independently. Daily Responsibilities Charge Entry & Patient Ledger Management Input charges into Practice Suite: pull up the schedule, select the patient, and enter charges from billing slips. Save and update—charges are automatically added to the patient’s ledger. Ensure that billing in Practice Fusion matches records in Practice Suite. Maintain up‑to‑date ledgers for all patients. Aged Receivables & Reporting Regularly review the Aging Report for Aged Receivables. Identify outstanding patient balances and accounts needing follow‑up. Track aging by category (e.g., 30, 60, 90+ days) for internal reporting. Check for errors or omissions in posted charges or patient insurance coverage. Patient Statements & Communication Print and mail patient account summaries and statements. Follow up on unpaid accounts only after two full months of non‑payment. If no payment is received after two months, reinitiate the billing communication cycle. Field inbound patient calls related to outstanding balances, clarification of charges or payment options. Collaborate with the Spravato Care Coordinator only for billing related to Spravato treatments. Tools & Systems Used Practice Suite (billing, ledger management, aged receivables) Practice Fusion (EHR and clinical record review) Fax, phone, and mailing systems (for statements and communication) Basic spreadsheet or billing log (if applicable for reporting/tracking) Skills Required Accuracy in data entry and charge processing Strong understanding of insurance and billing workflows Experience reading aging reports and managing AR follow‑up Professional communication skills with patients and insurance carriers Ability to work independently and manage sensitive financial data Familiarity with both Practice Fusion and Practice Suite systems #J-18808-Ljbffr Preston Hollow Psychiatry Group
