Program & Development Assistant

Helping Mamas seeks a motivated, detail-oriented student to join our team as a Program & Development Assistant through a work study program. This part-time role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, program support, donor relations, and volunteer engagement. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about making a difference and gaining real-world experience in the nonprofit sector. This position requires travel to assigned Helping Mama's locations.

Assist with preparing, organizing, and inventorying program supplies (diapers, wipes, hygiene kits, etc.) Assist staff with mobile distribution events and partner agency pickups Assist with partner shopping as needed Research potential donors and grant opportunities Support special campaigns (e.g., diaper drives, fundraising events) Help greet and orient volunteer groups Assist in preparing materials and supplies for volunteer activities Attend weekly check-in meetings with supervisor Help staff front desk Bring in in-kind donations and sort in volunteer room as needed Help with warehouse organization and occasional errands Other duties as assigned

Must have Federal Work Study award Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment. Must be in good conduct standing with Georgia Gwinnett College and maintain good conduct for the duration of employment. Must have reliable transportation to and from work sites as required by the position. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Comfortable working in a warehouse environment Basic computer skills; experience with Excel or databases a plus
