Primary Function: Provides district-wide, on-site Tier I technical support for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation of computer systems, peripherals, classroom technology, devices, and basic network and communications services. Maintains primary school/site relationships and escalates complex issues through the established technology support structure.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Education

High school diploma/GED and two years of technical training.

Minimum Experience

Three years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer systems, networks, peripherals, and software, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.

Essential Duties And Tasks

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Exhibits professionalism.
• Follows all county, state, and federal laws, policies, and procedures in all areas as it relates to the School District.
• Executes software and firmware updates, including essential configuration adjustments, to enhance device functionality, strengthen security, and improve overall performance for the purpose of maintaining system efficiency, compatibility with evolving technologies, and seamless user experience.
• Demonstrates professionalism and effective communication skills when engaging with school staff, administrators, and students by providing clear, courteous, and responsive support for the purpose of fostering positive interactions and ensuring that all stakeholders feel heard, informed, and supported in their technology needs.
• Serves as the first line of response for troubleshooting network-related issues, including Wi-Fi connectivity, access point functionality, ethernet drop connections, and device authentication. Ensures all classroom devices remain securely connected to district-approved networks for the purpose of maintaining secure, reliable, and accessible digital learning environments.
• Serves in a pivotal role for district-level initiatives and device refreshes. Maintains the Chrome- and Windows-based ticket routing, repairs, and verification of device repairs from various vendors.
• Conducts routine hardware inspections and preventative maintenance on classroom technology, documenting common support requests, resolutions, and recurring issues to improve service response times. Proactively provide training tools to administration and staff on best practices for the purpose of reducing recurring technical issues and ensuring seamless classroom operations.
• Performs additional duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the department or as assigned.

Position Type And Expected Hours Of Work: This is a full-time, 240-day position. Regular work hours are generally Monday through Friday. Evening meetings, project oversight, emergency response activities, and weekend assignments may be required to support District operations.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

Routine physical activities are required to fulfill job responsibilities. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear and frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, and climb ladders. Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds.
