Assistant Principal

Hempstead Elementary, in Hempstead, Texas, is seeking an Assistant Principal. Licensure is preferred, but not required.

Primary Purpose:


Assume leadership and responsibility for school functions, instruction and outcomes

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the School, including implementing and monitoring plans, procedures, programs, and systems to achieve clearly defined and desired outcomes

Supervisory Responsibilities

Minimum Requirements:

• Master's degree required, or currently enrolled in a program
• Minimum of two years administrative experience in a K-12 setting
• Minimum of five years of teaching experience
• Early literacy specialist
• Ability to provide exceptional instructional feedback
• Motivate and inspire staff
• Multi-task and excellent time management
• Superior knowledge of operational leadership and effectiveness
• Solid understanding of basic teaching pedagogy
