Medical Assistant I

Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11012
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Various shifts: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, or 11:00 AM-8:00 PM
Contract: 2 Months with a strong possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $20-$24/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, medication history, and allergies.
• Perform EKGs, lab testing, PFTs, and audiometry as ordered.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms.
• Register patients and update demographic and insurance information.
• Answer phones, take messages, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Provide professional and courteous service to patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS - AHA required.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
