CMBS Securitization Analyst

The Securitization Analyst is responsible for the aggregation and accurate reporting of data which is utilized for the securitization of commercial real estate loans. The Analyst will be responsible for the development of queries and reports which will be provided to internal and external clients, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of data. The Analyst coordinates the tracking of securitization documentation, and assists the Loan Reviewers (LR), as needed, to ensure compliance with company lending practices, prevention of errors, and preparation of loans for securitization. In addition, the Analyst will be responsible for the aggregation and reporting of information relating to (i) the CMBS market, ensuring the commercial mortgage group is informed of ongoing market trends; and (ii) financial and performance relating to portions of the commercial mortgage group, ensuring management possesses information for meetings and/or presentations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Maintain database of loan information for use in pipeline management, portfolio analysis, and securitization of loans in the secondary market. Prepare standardized data tapes, updating formats as required, and perform ad hoc queries as needed for rating agencies, B-Piece buyers, accountants, investment bankers, and legal counsel. Work as primary contact for accountants performing comfort audit, perform pre-audit file review, handle clearing of exceptions, and delivery of final comforted tape to securitization partners. Coordinate with LR all questions and responses to the ratings agencies / b-buyers, ensuring timely response. Upload all loan and property documentation for securitization to B-piece buyers, rating agencies, accountants and attorneys to external document share sites. Interact with investment bankers, rating agencies, accountants, and internal departments. Organize and maintain data and files for each securitization. Calculate individual loan internal Mortgage Servicing Revenue (OMSR) prior to pool settlement. Coordinating with Portfolio Analytics to aggregate, organize and report information for new issuance CMBS transactions to management team, Bankers and Underwriters. Manage electronic libraries of all CMBS related transactions in the market (term sheets, FWP, Annex, pre-sales). Manage electronic folders for each securitization. This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote or virtual work. MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONS Coordinating with Portfolio Analytics to maintain proficient understanding of CMBS market trends and anticipated transaction pipeline. Help prepare other securitization/loan sale materials as needed. Work with other LOBs, as necessary, to develop ad hoc RECWeb reports increasing reporting efficiencies. Work with Securitization Manager to develop, augment or update Excel models used during the origination or underwriting of commercial real estate loans. Work on special projects and reports as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business or related field Strong analytical skills Proficiency in Excel Experience in analyzing financial statements. Detail oriented and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in spreading property operating statements and rent rolls. Commercial Real Estate and/or Capital Markets experience Accounting/Finance experience EQUIPMENT USED Standard office equipment (pc, telephone, calculator, copier, fax machine) TRAINING REQUIRED On-the-job JOB LOCATION Overland Park, KS (Assigned/Onsite 4+ days per week) COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $57,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
