About the Role As the Membership Manager, you lead Municipal's weekend sales floor — the gym's highest-traffic, highest-opportunity window. This is a player-coach role: you personally generate and close membership sales while coaching the Membership Advisor team to deliver Municipal's standard of hospitality, urgency, and accountability. You are the Membership Director's eyes, ears, and standard-bearer on the floor when they are not present, ensuring the weekend experience is every bit as premium and consistent as any other shift. Team Reports to: Membership Director Key Outcomes: First 90 Days Complete onboarding and certification on Municipal's membership systems, CRM, and sales standards. Build coaching rhythms and rapport with the weekend Advisor team, including daily huddles and accountability check-ins. Hit ramped individual and team sales targets for weekend production. Identify and resolve early friction points in the weekend lead-to-tour-to-close process. Core Responsibilities Supervise and coach Membership Advisors during weekend shifts — floor presence, tour quality, objection handling, and close rate. Personally generate and close membership sales, modeling the standard for the team. Track weekend performance against targets and flag gaps to the Membership Director. Run daily huddles for weekend staff — goals, promotions, and accountability check-ins. Ensure lead follow-up (phone, walk-in, digital) happens on schedule, so nothing falls through the cracks over the weekend. Member Experience & Brand Execution Own escalated member concerns (billing, cancellations, freezes) — fix the moment, then help fix whatever created it. Ensure every weekend tour and sales interaction reflects Municipal's premium positioning and hospitality expectations. Model sponsorship over referral — helping Advisors turn loyal members into advocates who bring people into the Municipal experience. Team & Business Discipline Maintain accurate membership agreements, EFT/billing setup, and CRM data entry. Partner with the Membership Director on local promotions, community events, and grassroots efforts that drive weekend traffic. Provide weekend scheduling input and support commission-related processes responsibly. KPIs / Scorecard Examples Sales Performance - Weekend membership sales, revenue, and commission-eligible conversions Team Execution - Advisor coaching completion, huddle consistency, and lead follow-up speed Member Experience - Tour-to-close conversion, escalation resolution, and hospitality observations Business Discipline - CRM accuracy, schedule adherence, and reporting timeliness Qualifications 1–2+ years of sales experience, ideally in fitness, hospitality, or membership-based business; supervisory experience a plus. Track record of hitting individual sales targets. Comfortable coaching in the moment on a live sales floor. Weekend availability is non-negotiable; some weekday flexibility preferred. Preferred Experience Experience in premium fitness, hospitality, private clubs, or another high-touch membership environment. Role Requirements Availability across weekend core hours (Fri–Sun), plus rotating weekday shifts as needed. Regular computer and phone-based work is required. Ability to move throughout the gym, conduct tours, and stand for extended periods. Must satisfy all company pre-employment and ongoing employment requirements.
