The full‑time dispensary associate works 30‑40 hours per week and must have open availability during the week, including weekends. This location is under a labor union, which means wages, hours, and working conditions are subject to a collective bargaining agreement. Job Summary The Dispensary Floor Lead assists with the day‑to‑day operations of the dispensary and provides support for the management team. The role is responsible for maintaining best‑in‑class customer service while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. The floor lead sets the standard for performance and keeps associates motivated, while gaining a deep understanding of dispensary inventory and products. Primary Responsibilities Provide best‑in‑class customer service to customers Follow and uphold established sales and customer service policies to ensure satisfaction Maintain in‑depth knowledge of all products and strains in the store, share that knowledge with the team, and keep up‑to‑date with industry‑wide product knowledge Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring an assortment of product, and communicate inventory action items with the Assistant Manager and General Manager Assist all dispensary associates in consulting customers to ensure that the employee is informed of the right product choices by understanding how different methods of cannabis consumption affect customers differently Complete and appropriately delegate tasks assigned during the scheduled shift, including: Correct cash handling Accurate use and maintenance of the POS system Accurate and timely data entry in both the POS system and inventory tracking system Assistance in verifying order deliveries for accuracy Ensure adherence with security measures and safety compliance Maintain an organized and clean store Manage visitor log Send end‑of‑day daily update emails Ensure vault accuracy Work with management to ensure retail store operations run smoothly and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations Perform daily maintenance and data collection for any reported issues and/or complaints Handle opening and closing procedures Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in partnership with the management team Job Requirements Cannabis experience required Must be at least 21 years of age Strong retail math skills High school diploma or GED Two years or more in a supervisory or management role in retail, specifically with POS business operations Exceptional customer service skills Basic computer skills Positive attitude, team player, and strong work ethic Understanding of applicable state and local laws and regulations, including personnel law, safety regulations, local municipal codes, and organizational rules and standard operating procedures Must remain compliant with all regulatory requirements for working in the cannabis industry Excellent organization and time‑management skills Attention to detail Ability to internalize training and follow instructions Clear and effective communication skills Company Overview Ascend Wellness Holdings, Inc.
