Project Manager

Boston Counters is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee high-end residential and commercial stone fabrication projects from contract award through final installation. This position serves as the primary point of contact for builders, designers, architects, homeowners, suppliers, and internal production teams, ensuring every project is delivered on schedule, within budget, and to Boston Counters' quality standards. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, construction experience, strong organizational abilities, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where precision and customer service are equally important. Responsibilities Project Management Manage multiple countertop projects simultaneously from sale through completion. Review architectural drawings, specifications, and customer selections. Coordinate project schedules with builders, designers, and homeowners. Schedule field measurements, shop drawings, fabrication, and installations. Track project milestones and proactively communicate schedule updates. Ensure projects stay on budget and meet established timelines. Client Communication Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project. Build strong relationships with builders, designers, architects, and homeowners. Respond promptly to emails, phone calls, and project requests. Conduct project meetings when necessary. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Field & Production Coordination Coordinate with measuring technicians for laser templating appointments. Review digital templates and shop drawings before fabrication. Work closely with CAD programmers and production staff to ensure fabrication accuracy. Coordinate with installation crews regarding logistics, access, and jobsite readiness. Verify all sinks, faucets, appliances, and accessories are available prior to fabrication. Material Management Coordinate slab selection with customers and suppliers. Verify slab availability and reserve material when required. Review slab layouts with the CAD department. Monitor material usage to minimize waste and maximize yield. Quality Control Review completed shop drawings for accuracy. Ensure fabrication meets Boston Counters' quality standards. Perform final project reviews prior to installation. Coordinate punch-list items and warranty work when required. Ensure all installations meet customer expectations before project closeout. Administrative Duties Update project management software with notes and schedule changes. Prepare change orders when project scope changes. Review estimates and purchase orders for completeness. Coordinate invoicing milestones with the accounting department. Qualifications 3+ years of project management experience in the stone, cabinetry, millwork, construction, or remodeling industry preferred. Strong understanding of residential construction processes. Ability to read architectural and construction drawings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Experience with project management software is preferred. Valid driver's license.
