Companion Animal Senior Territory Manager - LA SOUTH

Merck seeks a Senior Territory Manager for companion animal products in LA South to manage veterinary clinic and corporate accounts. The role involves direct customer engagement, territory strategy development, and sales growth of the Animal Health product portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned veterinary clinics, shelters, and corporate accounts to understand needs and identify opportunities
• Develop and execute customer and territory strategy plans to drive Animal Health product sales and account growth
• Analyze monthly sales results, manage expenses within budget, and meet learning objectives with leadership
• Communicate product portfolio value using approved resources and consult on relevant solutions
• Collaborate across species teams and partner with National Account Managers and Distribution Field Partners on key accounts

Requirements

• High school diploma plus 10+ years sales experience, OR Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years sales experience
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to identify and manage diverse accounts independently within a territory
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and iPad
• Ability to travel overnight and manage weekend activities
• Knowledge of sales techniques and customer relationship management
• Understanding of evolving customer needs and business strategy alignment
