Project Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Engineer to support capital improvement, automation, and manufacturing projects across multiple plant locations. This person will work closely with engineers, operations teams, and vendors to manage projects from planning through installation. We're looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment, is comfortable being on the plant floor, and has experience managing budgets, schedules, and project timelines while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) Project management experience in manufacturing, automation, packaging, or industrial environments Experience managing multiple projects across teams and facilities Knowledge of RFQs, project scoping, estimating, and vendor management Ability to read technical drawings and specifications Experience managing budgets, schedules, and project risks Strong communication and stakeholder management skills PMP certification or formal project management training Experience with capital projects, automation, and packaging systems Multi-site manufacturing or industrial automation experience Equipment installation, startup, and commissioning experience Vendor management, cost analysis, and contract negotiation experience Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience Bilingual Spanish preferred
