Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy Assistant Manager of Billing & Operations to join our leadership team. This multifaceted role requires a rare blend of technical expertise in specialized surgical billing and a charismatic, vibrant personality to drive office energy.

The successful candidate will oversee the billing lifecycle for three distinct business entities, manage complex negotiations, and serve as a cornerstone for operational support. We are looking for a professional who is not only detail-oriented but also inspired to grow alongside our expanding organization.

Core Responsibilities

Revenue Cycle & Specialized Billing

  • Triple-Entity Management: Oversee and execute billing for three business units, with a focus on Neurosurgery (ASC), Anesthesia, and Assistant Surgeon claims.
  • Negotiation & Settlement: Partner with the management team to lead and close high-stakes negotiations, ensuring optimal reimbursement and case closure.
  • Compliance & Records: Manage medical records requests with precision, including the professional handling of documentation for med-legal coordination.
  • Case Oversight: Maintain a rigorous tracking system for all case statuses to ensure seamless operational flow.

Operational Support

  • Collaborative Backup: Work in tandem with two senior managers to provide administrative coverage; act as the primary backup for surgery scheduling and med-legal tasks.
  • Administrative Flow: Ensure all financial data and billing documentation meet the firm's standards for accuracy and timeliness.

Required Education & Experience

  • Education: Associate Degree in Business, Health Administration, or a related field.
  • Equivalency: Candidates with 4+ years of direct experience in ASC billing will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Technical Mastery: Proven proficiency in billing for Neurosurgery, Anesthesia (time-based units), and Assistant Surgeons (modifiers -80, -81, -AS).
  • Executive Partnership: Prior experience working hand-in-hand with upper management.
  • Vibrant & Positive Demeanor: A naturally outgoing and charismatic personality is essential. You are the "energy" of the office and a motivator for the team.
  • Meticulous Accuracy: A high degree of attention to detail regarding financial data is non-negotiable.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required for high-level negotiations.
