Residential HVAC Service Technician

HVAC Service Technician Yellow Dot Heating & Air Conditioning, a Southern Home Services Company, is hiring an HVAC Service Technician. Salary $50,000 to $130,000 a year. About This Role An HVAC Service Technician is responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential and commercial settings. This role involves diagnosing system issues, performing routine and emergency repairs, ensuring systems operate efficiently and safely, and interacting with customers to explain problems and solutions. Technicians also conduct inspections, adjustments, upgrades, and maintain detailed records of service performed. In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and boilers Drive a company van to various job sites to complete service calls Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC/R systems Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment Repair or replace faulty components in HVAC systems Other duties as necessary Required Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials up to 100 pounds Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues EPA Type II certification preferred 1 year of experience Physical Requirements Lifting 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally Climbing ladders, accessing attics, navigating tight spaces, driving, entering crawlspaces, pushing, carrying, pulling, using hand tools, and performing fine detail work Ability to drive Working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, attics, crawlspaces Ability to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone Use hands to handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch Work may involve exposure to extreme temperatures or adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, ice or snow Benefits Reliable, year‑round work Generous pay incentives for quality work Weekly paychecks Paid time off Paid holidays Comprehensive health, dental and vision insurance benefits Company‑matched 401(k) 3% match Company provided vehicle and fuel card Employee discounts Overtime pay Advertised pay range is base pay plus average spiffs/commissions earned at location Employment Status This is a Non‑Exempt position.
