What You'll Do

• Float between Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) and Progressive Care Units as needed
• Administer medications, including IV therapy and central line management
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry data
• Manage patients' endocrine, respiratory, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal needs
• Support patients with oncology diagnoses, treatments, or related health issues
• Follow safety protocols within secure corrections environment, collaborate with corrections officers
• Document patient care and treatment in EPIC system accurately
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient education when required

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license or the ability to obtain one
• BLS certification (required)
• Epic charting experience
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry units
• Strong clinical skills in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and patient management
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, with a focus on safety and patient-centered care

About the Assignment

This role is based in a secure corrections unit for Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC) inmates, providing care for patients with active oncology diagnoses, surgical needs, and other complex conditions. The facility emphasizes safety, team collaboration, and high-quality care delivery in a controlled environment.
