Responsibilities: Develop spacecraft motion control and actuation systems Mechanical systems design including bearings, gears, motors, and rotating mechanisms High reliability mechanical design and analysis for aerospace applications Generate design documentation and vendor specifications Support assembly and test including environmental testing, shock, vibration and thermal Review test data and recommend changes to products and/or processes Proactively identify roadblocks to technical progress and take steps to mitigate/avoid Minimum Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 8+ years of relevant industry experience designing moving mechanisms Proficient with computer aided design and analysis tools (SolidWorks preferred) Excellent reporting and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications: M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline 10+ years of relevant industry experience Experience working in aerospace Experience with electronics packaging and wire harnessing Experience with LabVIEW and Matlab Experience leading a design team with or without direct reports Compensation Range for: CO applicants is $133,500.00 - $186,898.95 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don’t meet all desired requirements?
