Step into a supportive school environment as an Occupational Therapist on a contract basis, providing crucial services to students from elementary through high school levels. This role runs from now through the beginning of December, with a steady weekday schedule: 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Located near Danbury, CT, this assignment offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload in a collaborative educational setting.

Your caseload will include a mix of direct service hours with opportunities to group some students where appropriate:

• Elementary K-2: 9.5 direct service hours
• Elementary 3-5: 9.5 direct service hours
• Middle School: 4.5 direct service hours
• High School: 1 direct service hour (one student)

Ideal candidates bring experience in the school setting, working as an Occupational Therapist (OT) with students across multiple age groups.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid state licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist
• Experience providing OT services in schools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work with diverse student populations, adapting approaches as needed
• Excellent organizational skills for managing varying caseloads
• Familiarity with documentation and IEP processes

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct occupational therapy services as scheduled
• Assessing student needs and developing individualized plans
• Documenting progress and maintaining records in compliance with school policies
• Participating in IEP meetings as necessary
• Consulting with teachers and support staff to foster student success
• Facilitating group and individual therapy sessions
