Front of House Staff

Khmai is seeking applicants to join our front of house team! 

We are a traditional Cambodian restaurant that serves authentic recipes from the Khmer culture. 

We are focused on representing Cambodian culture and cuisine to the Chicagoland community and increase access to the unique and complex flavors in our traditional dishes. We offer two different concepts for our patrons in one location, a rotating tasting menu with traditional flavors from the different regions of Cambodia, and a bar casual side that pairs our in house craft cocktails and wine selections with Cambodian street food for both dinner and lunch. 

We are seeking applicants for our dinner shifts who are professional, dedicated to their craft, passionate about representing food and culture, and are seeking to hone their experience with different flavor profiles and unique ingredients and work with a positive team to deliver the best experience we can for our guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Arrive on time for all scheduled shifts.
-Greet guests while representing Cambodian culture.
-Understand the rotating menus and communicate dishes efficiently to guests.
-Maintain cleanliness of your assigned section.
-Assist with opening and closing procedures for each scheduled service.
-Maintain guest satisfaction through positive attitude and attention to detail.
-Communicate effectively between front and back of house to ensure smooth service.
-Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS
-1+ years of experience working in a front of house role at a full-service restaurant.
-Ability to work under pressure
-Passion and interest in southeast asian cuisine and attention to detail
-Team player with positive attitude.
-Availability to work Wednesday-Sunday, and on holidays.
