Data Center Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Data Center Infrastructure Engineer. This role involves designing, maintaining, improving, and expanding the physical infrastructure of a data center. The position requires a strong understanding of critical power and cooling systems, capacity management, infrastructure projects, and operational resiliency.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage critical electrical infrastructure, including utility services, switchgear, generators, UPS systems, and power distribution.
• Oversee cooling and mechanical systems supporting data centers.
• Conduct capacity planning for power, space, and cooling.
• Analyze infrastructure resiliency, redundancy, and failover.
• Participate in data center construction, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure failures.
• Utilize DCIM, monitoring, and engineering metrics.
• Collaborate with construction teams, utilities, vendors, and facility stakeholders.

Education Qualification:

• Background in engineering or a technical discipline related to data center critical infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of data center critical infrastructure, including mechanical, electrical, and structured cabling systems.
• Experience in supporting budgets and cost controls for data center projects and infrastructure operations.
• Ability to partner with Real Estate, Critical Systems, Construction, and Technology teams.
• Proven track record in leading or contributing to data center infrastructure engineering and design activities.
• Experience delivering technical solutions that meet availability, redundancy, quality, and budget requirements.
• Ability to lead or manage projects impacting infrastructure reliability, efficiency, or standardization.
• Experience applying engineering standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Professional experience in a large, complex, and preferably global organization.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organizational environment.
• Practical problem-solving mindset with creative thinking.
• Experience leading teams and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $55 - $ 60 per hour This reflects base compensation and may vary based on candidate qualifications.
