Job Summary:
The Radiology/Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures, primarily during night shifts, to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently during overnight hours, and collaboration with CT assistants and healthcare team members. Candidates should have relevant licensure and certifications, with preference given to those with experience in trauma or high acuity centers.

The Radiology/Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography imaging procedures, primarily during night shifts, to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. The role requires strong technical skills, the ability to work independently during overnight hours, and collaboration with CT assistants and healthcare team members. Candidates should have relevant licensure and certifications, with preference given to those with experience in trauma or high acuity centers.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT imaging procedures in radiology and cardiology settings following established protocols.
- Operate CT equipment safely and effectively to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transfers, coordinating with CT assistants as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and readiness of CT rooms and equipment between patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely imaging results.
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in medical records.
- Participate voluntarily in on-call duties as available to support department needs.
- Current Washington State CT Technologist license.
- ARRT Radiography (R) and CT certifications.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year CT technologist experience; 2 years preferred, especially in trauma or high acuity centers.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Experience working in trauma or high acuity medical centers.
- Previous travel technologist experience.
- Voluntary participation in on-call coverage.
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have a minimum 3-month separation before qualifying for travel positions.
- Night shift coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Friday through Sunday.
- Only one CT technologist works per night shift, supported by a CT assistant for patient transport and room turnover.
- On-call duties are voluntary and appreciated but not mandatory.
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- Shift assignments are fixed for weekend overnight coverage.
- Voluntary on-call availability outside scheduled shifts.
