Medical Technologist (MLT, MT, MLS)

Location: Central Missouri (Relocation may be required - relocation package DOE & Location)

Type: Full-Time, Days (6am-2:30 pm)

Responsibilities:

• Carry out assigned tasks under the guidance of the pathologist and laboratory manager.
• Perform technologist duties proficiently with minimal supervision.
• Possess the ability to work in all areas of the laboratory.
• Take responsibility for various laboratory tasks, including specimen processing, conducting tests, result reporting, ensuring quality control, and maintaining instruments.
• As the Lead Technologist, oversee department functions such as managing and reviewing quality control and results, ensuring optimal instrument performance and maintenance, providing staff training and competency assessments, troubleshooting problems, and more.
• Foster customer satisfaction, collaborate effectively with colleagues, promote teamwork, embrace change with a positive mindset, and accept constructive criticism for personal improvement.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in laboratory science.
• Currently registered as an MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP), or able to obtain registration within one year of employment.
• Previous supervisory experience is desirable.

Note: This role specifically involves overseeing the hematology section, and familiarity with Ortho Vitros instrumentation is considered advantageous.
