Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (in Arizona or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally within a middle school or resource room environment
- Deep knowledge of IEPs, differentiated instruction practices, and student advocacy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families
- High level of organization, flexibility, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction and individualized support to students in a middle school resource room
- Develop and implement IEPs, tracking progress and maintaining documentation
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and specialist staff to meet students’ diverse learning needs
- Provide academic and behavioral interventions that promote positive outcomes
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
